The Cleveland Student Technical Enrichment Program (STEP) is a free, fun STEM education program for 6th through 9th-grade students in Cleveland Water or Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District service areas. Students engage in hands-on learning designed to inspire curiosity and build toward a future career in STEM.

Since 1994, Cleveland STEP has been giving students the opportunity to visit premier institutions, interact with professionals in the field, meet new friends, and work together performing exciting activities and experiments developed and led by STEM professionals that make science, technology, engineering, and math come alive.

Sessions are led by STEM professionals from premier institutions like NASA, Case Western Reserve University, and Cleveland Clinic, and are held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. one Saturday of the month, September through April.

  • September 19, 2026 - Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District 
  • October 17, 2026 - Baldwin Water Treatment Plant
  • November 21, 2026 - The University of Akron
  • December 12, 2026 - Cleveland Clinic
  • January 16, 2027 - Dairy Queen
  • February 20, 2027 - Amazon
  • March 20, 2027 - Robert P Madison International, Inc.
  • April1 7, 2027 - Closing Ceremony
