Registration Now Open for Our 2026 Drinking Water Week Open House!
Every May, Cleveland Water celebrates Drinking Water Week, an opportunity for both water professionals and the communities they serve to recognize the vital role water plays in all our daily lives. We recognize the occasion with our annual Cleveland Water Open House, offering free, guided tours at one of our water treatment plants.
These tours are an opportunity to see first-hand everything that goes into making water from Lake Erie safe to drink. From pumping lake water through a miles-long tunnel to filtering, disinfection, and testing, all while utilizing state-of-the-art technology to monitor everything. We also have water-related experiments, demonstrations, and exhibits for the whole family.
For the first time in a decade, our Drinking Water Week Open House will be held at our Crown Water Treatment Plant on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
Crown is the only one of our four plants that is located outside of the City of Cleveland. It is also the only plant to have received Phase IV certification in Water Treatment from the Partnership for Safe Water.
