Cleveland Water is changing to better serve you. We understand how important it is for you to know exactly where your hard- earned money is going. That’s why beginning in November 2013, you will receive a separate bill for your Cleveland Water and Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) charges. Any local charges will be included on the Cleveland Water bill. If you do not have sewage treated by NEORSD, you will not see any changes to your current bill.
Why separate Cleveland Water and NEORSD bills?
By separating the bills, we are creating simpler bills with space for each organization to share critical information, and publicize upcoming events and programs.
These bills, and other on-going projects, are designed to help eliminate confusion about who to call in an emergency, to provide a better understanding of the services and charges on your bills, and to empower you with additional tools to manage your utility related costs.
Separate bills, and other on-going Cleveland Water projects, are designed to:

The two bills will arrive in separate envelopes, about the same time of the month as they currently do, so you will not have to adjust your budgets.
What differences can customers expect?
Customers who currently receive services from both Cleveland Water and NEORSD can expect two separate bills. The Cleveland Water bill will be blue. The NEORSD bill will be green.
What are the options for paying my bill?
After the separation customers will have two account numbers and will need to mail in two separate checks.
However, customers will have the same convenient payment options:
- Pay by Mail
- Pay by Phone
- Pay On-line
- Pay by Automatic Withdrawal
- Pay in Person
If customers are enrolled in EFT/EZ they will automatically be enrolled for the NEORSD charges.
Customers using their own banking institutions to pay bills will need to set up their CW bill and NEORSD bill as separate payees with their respective account numbers.
Will there be additional costs?
There will be no additional costs passed onto the customers.
