Glenwood Drive and Ravena Road Water Main Break Notification

A water main break occurred at the intersection of Glenwood Drive and Ravenna Road on Tuesday, June 8th, between 3:00 and 3:30 pm. Cleveland Water is aware of the break and has crews onsite.

The break was controlled very quickly and normal pressure resumed by 4:00 p.m. There is no boil advisory at this time.

As a result of the break, a portion of the distribution system along Ravenna Road, including side streets, will likely see discolored water for a period of time tonight. We recommend homeowners flush their plumbing out using cold water only until clear. This can best be done by going to the lowest sink in your home (e.g., a laundry tub in the basement) and running cold water for 5 minutes to see if it clears. If not clear, wait an hour and repeat.

The discoloration is the result of a rapid movement of water scouring the inside of the mains as water moved toward the break site. Again, there is no boil advisory at this time and the discolored water is not harmful. For questions or concerns, please call our Emergency Call Center at 216-664-3060.
