Customers in our northeast service area may still be experiencing discolored water. The water is safe to drink. We continue to flush hydrants in affected communities and anticipate that the issue will be resolved tomorrow. Customers experiencing discoloration should avoid doing laundry to prevent fabric staining.

Cleveland Water customers in the northeast portion of the service area may experience discolored water.
Affected areas include portions of Cleveland’s east side and the communities of:

There is no boil alert in effect. The water is safe to drink.
Crews are working in the affected communities to flush hydrants throughout the system and keep the water as clear as possible. You may notice water running from hydrants overnight.
If you experience discolored water, remember the water is safe to use; however you should avoid doing laundry. Customers are also encouraged to call our 24-hour Emergency Line at 216-664-3060 and provide their name, address, telephone number and when the discoloration began. This will help Cleveland Water know what areas of our system are being impacted and need hydrant flushing.
