Cleveland STEP visits Baldwin Water Treatment Plant

For this month's session, Cleveland STEP students were given an exclusive tour of the Baldwin Water Treatment Plant where they learned all about the drinking water treatment and distribution process

Students learned about the chemistry behind taking water from Lake Erie and making it safe to drink, the physics behind delivering it to 1.4 million people, and the math behind calculating bills and rates.

They also heard about the many STEM careers available at Cleveland Water and in the water industry. Continuing education via certification, degree, or intense study was encouraged.
