Cleveland STEP kicked off the year with a live, virtual tour of the Greater Cleveland Aquarium led by Education Coordinator, Matt Debelak.
Students earned how science, technology, engineering, and math are critical to the Aquarium's everyday operation and saw animal species both native to Ohio and from around the world.
Aquarium staff members design many of the exhibits and determine the water temperature for each habitat. Students likened the work at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium to urban planning for animals
Mr. Debelak provided the class with plenty of STEM-related opportunities to consider, whether it's teaching various audiences or taking care of the animals.
