UPDATE 9/30/18: Cleveland Water crews have completed repairs on the 30-inch transmission main. East 55th Street between Quincy and Scovill Avenues is anticipated to reopen to two-way traffic this evening with one lane in each direction. Street restoration work still needs to be completed. Once AT&T completes repairs to their ducts, Cleveland Water will complete the street restoration.
On Monday, March 19, Cleveland Water Pollution Control (WPC) contractors will begin emergency sewer main repairs on Carnegie Avenue between East 12th Street and East 13th Street. The work will require crews to close the east and westbound center lanes until the repairs are completed. A second center westbound lane on Carnegie Avenue will also be closed Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. while crews make needed repairs.
Jennings Road was closed today from Gino Road north to Bradley Road so crews can complete the restoration of the road damaged by a water main break last week. In order to complete the repairs, crews will remove and replace a large section of concrete from the road and replace 350 feet of the sidewalk and curb.
In order ensure a safe work zone and notify motorists, City of Cleveland Traffic Engineering placed signs at Spring Road and at the bottom of Bradley Road. Crews will allow local access only for motorists to pass though the work zone while the repairs are being made.
