Our Education and Outreach Team is so busy the next two weeks we’ve packed all the information into one post! Come out and celebrate with us at one of these events. Play our new Cleveland Water Trivia game for a chance to win a prize. It’s so much fun!
This weekend we attended a number of exciting events in our local communities.
The Great Lakes Burning River Fest took place this weekend at the Historic Coast Guard Station by Wendy Park. The event returned for its 16th year of music, community and water conservancy at one of the most beautiful waterfront locations in Cleveland. Cleveland Water was a proud sponsor of the event and festival goers stopped by our booth to play our always-fun Cleveland Water Trivia for a chance to win a prize.
Apply now! Our Cleveland STEP program, geared towards 6th- through 9th-grade students, still has a few spots open for the 2017-18 program. We will accept interested students until capacity is reached.
The program encourages students to learn about the world of science, technology, engineering, and math. Hands-on activities provide students with an introduction to STEM fields and give them the tools needed for critical thinking.
On Thursday, August 3rd, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will begin a resurfacing project on Lakeside Avenue. Phase 1 of the project will take place between East 9th Street to East 26th Street. During this time, westbound traffic will be maintained on the north side of the street while eastbound traffic will be detoured. Detour signs will be posted.
Our Education and Outreach Team will be busy all week!
Visit us tonight at Mayor's Night Out Against Crime where Cleveland Water is a proud sponsor. We’re joining with others in this nationwide annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. Stop by and play our Cleveland Water Trivia game for a chance to win a prize. Everyone is having so much fun!
