Weekend Fun in the Community

Our Public Education and Outreach Team had quite an eventful weekend! We were at multiple community events – Waterloo Arts Festival, Bedford Heights Family Fun Day, Ward 5 Community Festival, South Euclid Rock the Block and Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s KidsDays. We recently rolled out our new Cleveland Water Trivia game and it’s been a hit at all of our events. In addition, our Water Buggy was making all kinds of friends too –even furry ones.

Staying Hydrated in High Temperatures is Key

We welcome summer by celebrating our favorite time of the year outdoors with cookouts and picnics, vacations, and getting the chance to do some of our favorite outdoor activities like biking, swimming and gardening. As a result, we find our days of fun in the sun ending with trips to the emergency room. That’s why we stress the importance of staying hydrated while you’re doing your favorite activities.  And guess what?

Use cold water only! If this does not resolve the issue, please contact our 24-hr Emergency Service Line at 216-664-3060.

To fill your pool using a hydrant, you’ll need to obtain a hydrant permit by presenting the following items to our Permits and Sales Department:

     •  The address of the hydrant or the address of the dwelling closest to the hydrant,
