Morgan Steam Engine in 1916
View of the actual Allis-Chalmers Steam Engines used at the CWD - Division Avenue Water Plant in 1916. The plant is known today as the Garrett A. Morgan Water Treatment Plant. These three-story engines were eventually replaced by electric motor driven pumps of the type that are still used today. The modern high capacity pumps are a fraction of the size.
