The Clear Reads Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) is an environmentally friendly project. Rather than having to visit each meter 4 times a year, readings are transmitted automatically to the Division of Water. This will take over 40 vehicles off the road.

Also, having meter readings always available will eliminate special trips for final reads and reduces the need for field investigations, further reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions.  In addition, during the program, all meters will be recycled.
