Water in Beachwood is Safe to Drink

There is currently no boil alert or any other water alerts regarding consumption for the city of Beachwood.

Cleveland Water is performing routine water main break repair near Greenlawn Ave. and Beachwood Blvd. in Beachwood. Occasionally, main repair work can cause customers to experience discolored water. Discolored water is not harmful and is safe to use as normal. However, customers experiencing discolored water may want to refrain from doing laundry as it may stain light-colored fabric.

If any residents in the area do experience discoloration, they should turn on the faucet closest to where their service line enters their home and let the water run for a few minutes. It should take about 3-5 minutes for the water to become clear again. If it does not, we encourage residents to call us at 216-664-3060 to report the problem.

Once the repairs are complete, we will flush hydrants in the area in order to ensure any discolored water resulting from the work is cleared.

Cleveland Water takes pride in ensuring that our customers always have access to safe, quality water when you need it.
