Using the Web Portal to Find a Leak


The quickest and easiest way to know if you have a leak is to sign up for the Cleveland Water web portal

Not only can you use the portal to easily view and manage your billing and account information, but also to view your actual water usage by the day or even by the hour.

Having the ability to monitor your water usage means that you can quickly spot a potential issue and address it before it becomes a major problem.

An unusual spike in your water usage, usage showing at times when you aren't using water, or usage steadily increasing even though you're not using more, could all be signs of a leak.

Signing up for the portal is as simple as 1-2-3:

1. Go to and click on the “Enroll Now” button.

2. Create your profile by entering your water account information and answering a few questions for security purposes.

3. Verify your account by clicking on the link sent to the email address you registered with.

Once registered, you’ll automatically receive leak notifications. If your meter registers continuous usage for 7 consecutive days, you’ll be sent an email and/or letter alerting you to a potential leak.

To limit damage to your home, conserve water, and avoid a high water bill, you should check your home for signs of a leak as soon as possible if you notice usual usage or receive a leak notice.

Being able to detect and resolve a leak quickly with the portal will save you time, money, and hassle.
