
The deadline for applications for the 2018-19 Cleveland Student Technical Enrichment Program (STEP) has been extended to Tuesday, July 31! Apply today!
Cleveland STEP is a fun, free educational outreach program. Students interested in science, technology, engineering, or math learn from Cleveland-area STEM professionals from premier businesses and institutions.
Students participate in hands-on activities, interact with industry leaders, learn what it takes to pursue a career in STEM, and meet new friends.
Some of the 2017-18 Cleveland STEP class session included:
- Participating in a design competition with Cleveland State University Washkewicz College of Engineering
- Creating lightsabers with SmartShape Design
- Making paint with Sherwin Williams
- Touring our Baldwin Water Treatment Plant and learning about the water treatment process
Students who will be in 6th through 9th grade at any school in the Cleveland Water/Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District service area are eligible to apply.
The program is held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. one Saturday of each month from September through April.
