Connecting With Our Community Through Education

Cleveland Water’s Education and Outreach team is always looking for new ways to reach our customers. That’s why we offer educational programs for all ages.

Our expert staff can create customized presentations on a wide selection of topics for audiences throughout the 80 communities across Northeast Ohio in our service area.

H2O Youth Club

Our H2O Youth Club is focused on educating children in grades K-8 about what makes Cleveland Water erie-sistable! We teach students about the water treatment and distribution process, along with the importance of a healthy Lake Erie, our source of drinking water.

We also demonstrate the value of having safe, great-tasting water at our disposal and the importance of staying hydrated. Our knowledgeable speakers are equipped with water-related activities such as Career Bingo, Jeopardy, and Trivia to make the learning experience fun and interactive.

Speakers Bureau

Our Speakers Bureau caters to students in grades 9-12 and adults. Presentations are typically done in one-hour segments that allow ample time for questions and answers. Most presentations include visual support and all are free of charge to the communities Cleveland Water serves.

A popular presentation for high school students offers information on the many career opportunities available in the water industry and other STEM-related fields. Students are given valuable insight into careers at Cleveland Water, apprenticeship programs, and internships available to further their interests.

For adult audiences, our subject matter experts can explain the complex processes involved in water treatment and distribution, provide information and guidance on Cleveland Water initiatives and cost-saving programs, or explain the science behind how and why the condition of Lake Erie matters.

Organizations we have worked with in the past include:
