There's still time to enroll in this year's Cleveland Student Technical Enrichment Program (STEP) class!
A limited number of students are accepted into the program, and sessions begin on September 12 so don’t wait to apply. Click here to download the application.
Hosted by Cleveland Water and Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, Cleveland STEP has provided experiences and educational outreach to help students envision themselves in a STEM career since 1994.
This fun, free educational program is available to students in 6th through 9th grade at any school in the Cleveland Water/NEORSD service area.
Students interested in science, technology, engineering, and math will learn what it takes to pursue a career in STEM by being connected with local educational and cultural institutions, businesses, and industry and community leaders.
Sessions for the 2020-21 program year will be held virtually via Zoom. Students will use Blackboard to access assignments, grades, announcements, homework, and other documents as well as to communicate with staff.
The program is held from 9 to 11 a.m. one Saturday of each month from September through April. This year’s schedule consists of:
- September 12 – Orientation at NEORSD
- October 17 – Cleveland Water
- November 21 – City of Cleveland Mayor’s Office of Sustainability
- December 12 – Cleveland Public Power
- January 23 — Skylight Financial Group
- February 20 – National Engineers Week “Dream Big”
