Additional Leaks Found on 116 Year Old West 110th Street Water Main, Cleveland Water Buggy Dispatched


UPDATE AS OF 5PM ON 8/12/16: Cleveland Water crews made repairs to multiple leaks on an aging water main along West 110th Street in Cleveland last night and water service was restored to all customers. Crews will be out this evening to make additional repairs on the 116 year old main. Some customers may experience temporary service disruptions. Crews on scene will notify customers in the area and drinking water will be provided for customers whose water service may be interrupted during these repairs. West 110th Street between Baltic and Clifton will remain closed until further notice. 


This afternoon, Cleveland Water crews discovered two additional leaks on an eight inch water main along West 110th Street in Cleveland. Several repairs have already been made this week to the 116 year old main and Cleveland Water engineers are onsite evaluating short- and long-term solutions for the aging infrastructure. 

Cleveland Water is also dispatching its water buggy to the area to provide water for those customers without water service. Repairs are anticipated to begin this evening and crews will work to keep customers in service as much as possible. West 110th Street will remain closed between Baltic Road and Clifton Boulevard until further notice.
