Applications for the 2018-19 Cleveland Student Technical Enrichment Program (STEP) class are now available!
Cleveland STEP is a fun, free educational outreach program sponsored by Cleveland Water and the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD). Students interested in science, technology, engineering, and math get to learn from Cleveland-area STEM professionals from premier businesses and institutions.
Students participate in hands-on activities, interact with industry leaders, learn what it takes to pursue a career in STEM, and meet new friends.
Previous class sessions have included:
- Making paint with Sherwin Williams
- Creating lightsabers with SmartShape Design
- Touring the NASA Glenn Research Center
- Learning about civil engineering from the Ohio Department of Transportation
The program is held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. one Saturday of each month from September through April.
Students who will be in 6th through 9th grade at any school in the Cleveland Water/NEORSD service area are eligible to apply. To ensure admittance to the program, early application is encouraged. Applications are due by July 16. Download the application here.
