Compliance With Drinking Water Regulations

The Cleveland Division of Water did not monitor for the presence of cyanide between January 1 and June 30, 2002 as required by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. Upon being notified of the oversight, the Cleveland Division of Water immediately tested the water for cyanide. No cyanide was found in the water. Cleveland was on a reduced monitoring cycle for cyanide because the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency determined that Cleveland is at a very low risk for contamination by cyanide.

Cleveland water is in compliance with all maximum contaminant levels and treatment technique requirements for drinking water.
