Allis-Chalmers cut-away construction view of the Steam Engine design  for the CWD - Division Avenue Water Treatment Plant.  The plant is known today as the Garrett A. Morgan Water Treatment Plant.  These three-story engines were eventually replaced by electric motor driven pumps of the type that are still used today.  The modern high capacity pumps are a fraction of the size.  A actual view of this engine is also available for the previous page.
