View of several of the Steam Engines used at the Kirtland Pumping
Station in 1916. The operator standing in the center of the
picture gives perspective as to how large these engines were.
The original Kirtland Pump Station buildings were eventually torn down
and replaced in the early 1970's. The Kirtland Raw Water
Station takes water in from Lake Erie and pumps it several miles up to
the Baldwin Water Treatment Plant for processing.
